I have been wearing eye glasses with an extremely complicated prescription since the age of 2 and as a result have spent more time with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and opticians than I care to discuss, but never in the past 35 years have I experienced the level of professionalism, commitment and personal attention as I have received at your practice. After nearly 20 years of having been prescribed only soft contact lenses and having visited countless vision experts following an unsuccessful PRK laser treatment, you are the sole doctor to have recommended I switch to gas permeable contact lenses. Although I was reluctant and rather skeptical at first, your assurance that you would do whatever it takes to make certain I obtained the best vision possible made me cooperate with your suggestion. I have been your patient for more than 4 years and wanted to take the time to say “thank you” for everything. “Everything” includes how you make it easy for me to get an appointment that is convenient for me and how you make sure that I always am seen on time so that I can get back to work. It includes how you’re efficient, but still take the time to be thorough, gentle and patient during the appointment, answer all of my questions about my eyes; and are meticulous about sterilization and best hygienic practices. “Everything” also includes how you take the time to understand me better and suggest new products that suit my lifestyle better – I am so grateful that you suggested daily wear lenses instead of the two-week disposable lenses that had become uncomfortable for me. Dear Dr. Lahijani,
Recently I needed my prescription renewed and am fairly new to the area. I had the day off and could not find a local optometrist who was working that day. It is very difficcult for me to get time out when I am working so I did some research online and came across a listing for Dr. Shermin Lahijani. Her assistant was very pleasant on the phone and said I could come in that afternoon.
When I arrived, they promptly gave me the paperwork and shortly afterwards, I met with the Doctor for my exam. I am a busy person and not someone who likes to wait so I was very happy to be seen so quickly. The Doctor was very professional, efficient and polite. Most importantly, I felt like she gave me good personal attention and that is very rare these days.
I have needed eyeglasses and contacts since I was fourteen years old. I have lived in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, New York and now Los Angeles. I recommend going to see Dr. Shermin Lahijani very highly for your eyecare needs.
